Moppity’s Tumbarumba Chardonnay comes from the cool climate of Tumbarumba, at the foothills of the Snowy Mountains in Southern NSW. The elegance and purity of Tumbarumba Chardonnay challenges people’s perception of Australian Chardonnay of days gone by.

Reviews
Vintage 2018
“..elegance and gorgeous complexity, the wine shows rockmelon, apricot, lemon, nougat and roasted hazelnut aromas on the nose. It’s equally appealing on the palate with excellent weight and fleshy texture, leading to an impressively long, creamy finish. At its best: now to 2024.” Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
“..complex aromas of ripe peach, vanilla as well as mixed nut notes.. the palate brings peach and honeydew melon all in layers, with well-integrated oak adding to the complexity. All balanced with good acid and great length to the complex finish…” Stephen Read, Wine Matrix
Vintage 2017
“The bouquet is complex and intense with vanilla, white nectarine, honeydew melon and toasty oak all blending together. While the palate is intense with multilayers of fruit, zesty acid all balancing with integrated oak and some spice. Overall a very complex wine, enjoy now or will cellar for 7 + years.” Stephen Read, Wine Matrix
“A stylish rendition; the complex bouquet shows nectarine, rock melon, brioche, vanilla and toasted hazelnut aromas, leading to a concentrated palate that is focused and finely textured. The wine offers elegance and poise, wonderfully supported by flowing mouthfeel and refreshing acidity.” Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
“..Primarily delicate, but builds the story on the back-palate and finish..” James Halliday
Vintage 2016
“The fruit flavours here are very intense, citrus/ grapefruit/ green apple all having their say, the oak handling a monetary and organoleptic success…” James Halliday
“Elegantly styled, this refined example displays delicate aromas of white stone fruit, lemon zest, flint and vanilla on the nose with subtle oatmeal complexity. The palate is focused and finely textured with excellent mid palate weight and bright acidity, leading to a superbly long, linear finish. Wonderfully poised and structured for graceful development.” Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
Vintage 2014
“A fragrant, flowery bouquet leads (logically) into a zesty palate with both focus and length to its display of grapefruit and white stone fruit wreathed in mouthwatering acidity, French oak precisely positioned and weighted.” James Halliday
