2017 Crafted Cabernet Sauvignon
$35.00
Stylish & flavoursome
A deliciously, vibrant Vegan friendly Cabernet!
This hand crafted Cabernet is a single block, single vineyard expression of Moppity. In 2017, we found block 2 had an ideal juice to tannin ratio which we knew would result in a wine with great structure and generous varietal flavour.
The vibrancy of fruit in block 2 helped to craft a wine with pure, bold and crunchy blueberry tones.

Reviews
Vintage 2018 (not yet released)
“..cassis, sweet plum, tobacco, dark spice and cedary oak characters, leading to a plump palate that is finely textured and persistent.. wonderful harmony and complexity. At its best: now to 2027” Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
Vintage 2017
“..stylish and classically expressed.. blackcurrant, blueberry, violet, dried herb and roasted nut aromas.. beautifully weighted and flavoursome on the palate.. fine tannins, finishing balanced and structured. At its best: now to 2027″ Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
“..Lifted complex aromas of cassis, spice with hints of mint and violets, integrated oak adds to the complexity. Soft tannins all in a multilayered complex palate with cassis, dark fruits and soft acid all combining with a textural mouth feel. There is good harmony with all the aspects of this wine…” Stephen Read, Wine Matrix
“…light, lithe, possessing a suppleness – stonefruit strangely – then veering towards cassis. Fine, nigh powdery, tannin – barely there – ethereal – quite unusual for Cabernet Sauvignon.. Franc like prettiness, Merlot like fine structure.” Stuart Robinson, Vinsomniac
